Between 2022 - 2025 I collaborated with The Alan Turing Institute creating a range of illustrations, animations and visuals around the themes of AI ethics and governance.
The brief was to visualise complex topics like fairness, bias, trust, data security, surveillance, and mental health in AI - concepts that are often abstract and highly technical.
The challenge was making these ideas digestible and accessible while avoiding the usual clichés (robots, digital brains, etc.). I wanted to make the visuals playful and engaging in balance the density and complexity of the ideas
The collaboration developed over several years and spanned editorial pieces, comic strips, infographics, cover artwork, animation, logo design and companion visuals.
The process was highly collaborative, starting with brainstorming ideas in teams or on a 1-1 basis, sketching rough concepts and then refining them into final illustrations.
